1. Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier) acquires, physical possession of the books.
2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or an email).

3. Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you for all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:
14 days after the day on which we receive back from you any goods supplied, or
14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earliest.
We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
4. Returning the Books
You shall send the books back or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us.

Return Shipping Costs: Under German law, the customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods unless stated otherwise in our shop's terms.
Condition of Return: You are only liable for any diminished value of the books resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the books.
5. Exclusions and Exceptions
Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to the following contracts:
Sealed audio or video recordings or computer software (if unsealed after delivery).
Digital content (e.g., eBooks, audiobooks) if downloaded or digitally streamed and you have explicitly consented to the loss of your withdrawal right.
Personalized books or custom-printed materials created specifically to your specifications.
6. Damaged or Defective Items
If your book arrives damaged, defective, or is incorrect, statutory consumer rights (Gewährleistung) apply. Please contact our support team immediately at contact@thatsriver.com with photos of the damage to arrange for a free replacement or full refund.
